Not only a MTB paradise, Crete is also a great spot for racing cycles.

The streets are in good condition, so that one finds optimal conditions to get into a training mode.
The highway circuit road from the east to the west and into the south are connected with
smaller streets, equally well maintained. They lead along beautiful valleys and climb up to villages of the Ida, Dikti and Asterousia mountains. On these roads traffic is scarcely, so it's pretty save.

Our station and the Bike & Beach hotel are situated directly on the long sandy beach of Amoudara, 7km to the west of Heraklion.
Amoudara is a perfect starting point for versatile routes. The little village lies between four mountains, very close to the many vineyards of Crete. To the south lies the Messara plateau were you can find up to 60 km race courses. To the southwest starts the Ida mountains with a high pass course of 1800hm (highest attainable point on road). Several round routes of 40km - 200 km and more can be choosen directly from the station.

We offer well prepared route maps with an elevator and distance profile, tips for stops for food and drink supplies as well as for places of interest

A secure place for your cycle as well as technical help from a mechanic will be provided at our station.
